October 3rd: NICK AND NORAH"S INFINITE PLAYLIST opens in theaters

Script Supervised by Tony Osso:

"NNIP was a blast - the cast was so funny and sweet and gung-ho - they bought me flowers and a big cupcake on my birthday - which I spent on Broadway and 10th street freezing while shooting the Andy Samberg cameo at Grace Church. Pete Sollett was so fun to work with too; one of my first jobs was production-coordinating "Raising Victor Vargas", so to get to work with Pete on his 2nd feature in a new capacity was great. Though we did do 4 weeks of overnights, primarily outdoors, pretending to be June in Nov/Dec...which was a challenge..."

“Frozen River is one of those films that had one of the more experienced, hard working and bonded crew working for almost nothing, in exterior artic winter conditions with daily frost bit warnings (It was so cold that our generator fuel froze a few times), who all stuck together to keep warm and work on something they all believed in.”

Script Supervised by Sharon Watt:

"Helen Hunt had a load on her plate with acting, writing, producing and directing her first film so she was massively stressed at times. Once we had to shoot a day exterior with her character sitting outside on the porch. We used a stand-in to line up every single shot so that Helen could see what it would look like, and sign off on it before she went back to being in the movie. Of course for this particular scene, we were about to lose the light, so we raced like crazy to get the camera outside and in position. Then the 1st AD called camera roll, the 2nd AC slated, I looked around at the people standing around me, including Helen, all waiting for the action to unfurl and watching the stand-in intently, and said, "So..... isn't Helen supposed to be in this shot?".

Helen recounted this anecdote on David Letterman last week."

Mar 14th: FUNNY GAMES opens in theaters

Script Supervised by Diane Hounsell

"Reading the script, with it's heavy subject matter (home invasion, humiliation, torture, murder) I knew going into it that 'Funny Games' would be a tough shoot. It was also a fascinating experience to study Michael Haneke, a master filmmaker, and I also felt quite an accomplishment of being able to script supervise for him in German.

Since it was a shot for shot remake of the 1997 Austrian film of the same title, every morning the DP, camera operator, dolly grip, gaffer, 1st AD & I would gather at the monitor to prepare for the day's work by watching the original scene, analyzing just when the dolly would start to creep, when the focus would rack.

For the scene where Paul makes a sandwich in the kitchen while mayhem goes on off camera, my big creative contribution was pointing out that Americans make their sandwiches with mayonnaise instead of butter!"
