"When I first read the script, I knew it was a job I had to work on, and meeting Oren only confirmed that feeling. It was the most gratifying experience I've ever had on a movie - so much so, that after script supervising the shoot, I asked to be involved in post production, and spent 8 weeks in the edit room in NYC and in the final sound mix in L.A. It was a collaborative experience in which I learned so much and made some very dear friends."

"This was one of the most enjoyable films I've worked on. Jeff Bridges was a script supervisor's dream come true - very concious of his continuity, he watched playback between takes to make sure he would repeat his actions precisely. Between set ups he took photos, sketched, & played his guitar. It was also fascinating watching the dog wranglers work with the seven dogs playing Devon, each cast for personality type, or ability for tricks they were trained to do for certain scenes"

Tony on Phoebe In Wonderland:
"The anecdote I always tell is about a scene in which Phoebe (Elle Fanning) has to tell her parents (Felicity Huffman and Bill Pullman) that they have to accompany her to the Principal's office while her sister (Bailee Madison) rollerskates in circles around the kitchen.
We shot a lot of the morning and the scene didn't seem to be coming together. We couldn't get the girl to rollerskate at the same speed or hit any of the same marks, and the ricocheting of the dialogue seemed awkward. We were shooting in a narrow kitchen and therefore shooting almost everything on the same axis, too. We went to lunch and I was a little concerned about how it would cut.
We got back from lunch and finally framed up Elle's close-up. After the first take all my concerns vanished. This girl holds a close-up better than almost any actor I've ever worked with, and in one take I could see that she would anchor the scene. Her performance is really amazing. And she had just turned 9 years old! She convinced me that some people are born with a gift, and she's one of them."

Jan 28th - Feb 2nd: THE TOE TACTIC premieres at the MoMA theater
Script Supervised by Tony Osso:
"The Toe Tactic was interesting for several reasons: Emily Hubley, the director, is an accomplished animator, and this film was about 70% live action/30% animation, and sometimes they interacted. So, beyond typical script supervisor duties, there was a bit of, "shouldn't we move that ashtray so the animated dog will be able to stand on that windowsill?" sort of stuff going on...
It was my second time working with DP Andrij Parekh, and it was a great pleasure - this film is truly independent, in the sense that it's intelligent, emotionally complicated, and deeply personal. Only at the premiere at SXSW did I really understand the film - and I haven't felt that way about a movie before or since. It stars Lily Rabe, Mary Kay Place, Kevin Corrigan, Daniel London and Sakina Jaffrey."
